Motorcycle Seizure - Deal

Good evening,

On the afternoon of Friday 4th July 2025, I became aware of a motorcycle being used within Deal, and believed this to be displaying a false registration plate. The plate it was displaying related to a different type of motorcycle and therefore it was decided this motorcycle needed to be located and stopped.

My colleague attempted to stop this vehicle, however the rider failed to stop as requested. As a result, a ‘Stinger’ was used and both tyres were successfully deflated, causing the rider to abandon the motorcycle nearby. An area search was conducted and a male arrested a short distance away. The male was arrested for failing to stop for police, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, no insurance and displaying an incorrect registration plate. Enquiries are still ongoing and this male has been released on police bail.

Please continue to pass information to Kent Police of suspicious or illegal vehicles. Myself and the rest of the Community Safety Unit at Dover proactively look for these vehicles and do our upmost to stop illegal motorists whenever possible.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend,
